Bro. Gravley tells of his first encounter with a bus worker, how he was given his first Bible, and how he came to know the Lord.

I was ten years old when I stepped on board,

Not knowing I was lost and needed the Lord.

The driver was kind greeting me with a smile,

Knowing the trip to Calvary may take a while.

We journeyed toward the cross for three long years,

He loved me, prayed for my soul and shed many tears.

We arrived at the bottom, and got off the bus,

The way seemed narrow and the road looked rough.

The driver said, “Follow that road to the top of the hill,

There you’ll find the cross, salvation and a God that’s real.

At the top of mount Calvary I met my Lord,

We walked back down together and got on board.

I sat back in my seat, this time not alone,

Because the Lord rode with me, all the way home.

The trip to Calvary is not as long as it once had been,

Riding and talking with Jesus this wonderful friend.

Now I go to Calvary daily, for me it’s a must,

You may have some other means, but I always take it by bus.
